Jason Mogg, Managing Partner, Central and Eastern Europe

When I look at my colleagues around me in our offices across Central & Eastern Europe they all share certain qualities.

Ambition is one: commercial law at this level is challenging. You will only take to it if you are ambitious. You will only succeed if you have the talent to match. Analytical ability is another: you need to grasp the big picture, and master the detail, quickly. Knowing legal facts and figures is not enough – it is your ability to marshal them in support of your argument that counts.  Yet in this region it is often your adaptability that carries you through – we work in an environment of constant change.

Those who do well here also have energy, a positive approach, high standards in all they do and enjoy being stretched. Our most successful lawyers succeed because they are natural team players, with an ability to get the best out of people at all levels: partners, secretaries, clients, the receptionists. Intellectual ability is important, but the right attitude is priceless.
