Giving something back

We appreciate the fact that, at Linklaters, we’re in a very privileged position. So, naturally, we want to put something back. Our biggest initiative so far has been to give money to a ‘Hope’ school, which is a project that’s supported by the government. The donations that we give to schools in rural areas are used for renovation, buying books, replacement furniture and so on. Individual colleagues can then contact the school and spend some time with the kids – playing games, helping them read, all kinds of activities. It’s all about improving chances for disadvantaged children.

While many our of our ventures are child-focused (such as paying for children’s hospital operations), we also offer pro-bono advice – free advice to charities or other organisations that can’t afford the usual fees. This is something that we’re really passionate about.
