This is quite a substantial team in Hong Kong, with 30 people being split between front and back office. Local offices utilise the bill-focused professionals in the front office, whereas the back office accounting teams concentrate on pulling the books together and arranging payments for the whole Asia region.
Rather than get involved in day-to-day transactions, the front office are able to work with partners on more business-driven advisory services, such as P&L or on-going financial planning. At the billing end there will be various professionals managing the ‘financial hygiene’ - for instance checking that people are billing on an on-going basis.
There is also a regional team in Hong Kong which focuses on tax, compliance, analysis and management for the whole Asia region. London will also contact Asia with potential products and services that have achieved global recognition. We’ll then decide if these products are viable and applicable to our marketplace.
