You're in charge

Whichever area you join us in, you’ll need to come equipped with confidence and a deep desire to fulfil your potential. At Linklaters you are in charge of your own career. There will be unlimited scope for new experiences in your chosen field, unrivalled resources for continuous learning, and unstinting support from colleagues both locally and globally. In our Amsterdam office we currently have the following areas of practice.

Corporate Law

Linklaters provides corporate and commercial advice to many of the world’s leading businesses. You’ll have the opportunity to shine in complex, challenging transactions and be involved across the full range of corporate work, including cross-border M&A deals, innovations in new markets, or major listings on stock exchanges around the world. The high calibre of our client portfolio demands fresh thinking and new approaches, giving you a wide-angle perspective.

Banking

The Amsterdam office provides clients with the highest quality legal advice across myriad products, wherever it is needed. This is the chance to build partnerships with banks, lenders, credit enhancers, sponsors and borrowers and advise on international financing across every industry, commercial, financial and government sector.

Capital Markets

From debt and equity issues through to derivatives and structured finance, we work to meet our clients’ needs, and exceed their expectations, for a full securities law service. Being part of this team will involve you in a challenging and varied mix of transactional and regulatory/advisory work, enabling you to develop broader commercial skills.

Employment

Specialist skills are truly prized in the arena, especially collective reorganisations, M&A labour law and works council issues. This is a huge growth area for us, and we look for people who are ready to make a real name for themselves, sharing their knowledge and adding value to the transactional elements of the business.

Tax

Our tax expertise around the globe gives us the capacity to meet our clients' needs on all aspects of cross-border advisory and transactional matters. In Amsterdam, our tax team offers expert local advice to our clients. In particular, the team advises on capital markets, structured finance, corporate tax, international tax matters and cross-border reorganisations. The team acts for a range of large national and international companies which will give you the opportunity to work on a broad range of cross-border transactions.

Notarial

Providing both transactional and advisory expertise, our notarial team plays an important part in helping to complete deals and build long lasting relationships with some of our key clients. Our notarial team joined Linklaters in March 2007 under the leadership of Bart Jan Kuck.

The notarial team is integrated within our practice and works in conjunction with our other practice areas. Notaries work on important elements of transactions such as share transfers, preparing deeds, and amending articles. The advisory side of notarial work is changing fast, in line with structural changes to the Dutch legal landscape.
