Xavier Chen joined Linklaters in Hong Kong after working for an Australian law firm and is now an Associate in Capital Markets.

“The Asian market has immense potential for growth, which is one of the things that attracted me here in the first place. It is an evolving marketplace, one where new ideas and new products are essential. There is so much going on, so many cutting edge deals involving global companies.

“I joined Linklaters because I believe the firm has the drive, the capability and the ideas to fully tap this growth potential. The firm is strong across so many practice areas, and there are highly skilled people working in every part of the world. You really get a sense of being continually involved in groundbreaking transactions. In Hong Kong, because of the global nature of what we do, you could easily be working alongside colleagues and clients in New York or London, for example, and also find yourself advising on financial products or commercial structures that might not have existed in the markets a week earlier. That, for me, is what makes this such a challenging and inspiring place to be.”
