Vikash Ramlochan Tewarie joined Linklaters in 2006 as a Trainee in the Amsterdam office, and is currently working in Corporate M&A. For him, the most compelling aspect of Linklaters is the opportunity to challenge himself.

“Even just ten months in, the work I’m doing as a trainee is hugely challenging – and fascinating. There is so much information to gather and to analyse. Being involved in complex deals, for big multinational clients, has really stretched me, and even just being around such intelligent people is immensely stimulating. What’s more, because the office in Amsterdam is relatively small, you’re exposed to clients early on in your career.

“That is not to say you’re without support. The open and collaborative working style – and lack of hierarchy – means there is a vast array of advice, experience and resources to draw from, and everyone is willing to help you.

“For those reasons, I am more than happy working at Linklaters. The global nature of the firm presents me with virtually limitless options and opportunities. And I know that, wherever I go and whatever I choose to do, I will have the challenge and support to develop my potential to the full.”
