Juan Maria Lamo joined Linklaters in 2004, straight from university, and is currently an associate in the Finance practice in Madrid. His highlight: the firm’s plans for growth.
"At the interview, it was Linklaters’ vision and enthusiasm that impressed me most. They had strong, clear plans on how they wanted to grow as a firm – and how they intended to develop my talents as a lawyer.
"Now, as an associate, I’m experiencing that outlook first-hand. I work in a relatively small office, but I’m regularly part of large, complex, global deals, and I work with colleagues and clients from many different countries. What’s more, I have had real responsibility, and a variety of experiences that have allowed me to build up understanding in several areas. It’s hard work, and often we’re onto the next transaction before we’ve had a chance to catch our breath, but, truly speaking, I wouldn’t have had it any other way."
