Our lawyers are involved in some of the most complex and challenging work there is. So the challenge for our knowhow team is to ensure that every piece of knowledge they might need is at their fingertips.
That goes beyond simply books and reference materials. Although we can boast excellent libraries, tools, processes and online resources – including the first ever legal extranet to supply online legal services to clients – our focus has to be on pushing boundaries. Already, our knowhow team is involved in improving processes and contributing to pitches for new business. Most recently, we have been working on a file-sharing system that allows anyone anywhere to search more than 50,000 legal matters from anywhere in the world.
This is joined up thinking on a truly global scale. And correspondingly, knowhow is based in each of our offices around the world. There are project managers, professional support lawyers, librarians and knowhow assistants. In all, the virtual team amounts to over 100 people worldwide.
