Empowering individuals and achieving change

Whether our people are dedicating hundreds of pro bono hours to help LGBT individuals seeking asylum in the UK, using their skills to mentor vulnerable women in Hong Kong or supporting young people in our local communities who are struggling to access employment, achieving life-changing impact is at the heart of our programmes.

As well as our work for individuals, we aspire to broader change and channel our passion, expertise and resources to organisations and initiatives seeking reform. We’re proud to have:

• published a multi-jurisdictional study for Penal Reform International analysing the sentencing of women convicted of drug-related offences.
• mentored over 1000 school pupils in East London through the Mentoring Works programme.
• furthered the rule of law by creating ongoing indices of the entire case law of Liberia, so that judges can apply precedent.
• filed an amicus brief on behalf of the US National Women’s Law Center highlighting the serious harms of gender bias in sexual assault investigations.
