What do you think about the culture at Linklaters?

Building relationships at work is a key pull factor for me. People at Linklaters are very collaborative and respectful of each other's thoughts, so everyone comes together to deliver the best. Also, the amount of investment that goes into training really shows the firm's commitment to people’s development.

What are you most passionate about in terms of what the firm offers?

The development programmes!

I am currently a facilitator for the Asia Shaping Your Future programme, which is a female coaching programme designed for associates. I embarked on the programme a year after I joined, which was such a great experience.

Four years later, I participated in the Women Leadership Programme, which is aimed at senior lawyers.

What advice would you give to someone joining the firm?

I'd say take advantage of our resources and training. Grasp every opportunity to learn and don't be afraid to ask questions. Be proactive and seek feedback, as this is the best environment to develop.

Are you part of any internal networks?

I am co-chair of the Hong Kong Gender Equality Network (GEN). The network aims to promote a culture of gender equality within Linklaters, creating an environment that fosters personal and professional development, and promotes female empowerment amongst both women and men. We bring people together to discuss the challenges and organise initiatives that promote awareness on gender equality issues. Some examples are our mentoring programme, IWD (International Women’s Day) events, and the Male Allies Programme.

How are we as a firm ensuring our competitive advantage in the current market?

Linklaters is a very innovative firm that adapts to changing market conditions. We've always identified and targeted priority areas to seize opportunities, which has made us resilient as a firm. For me as a professional looking to develop my career, I find this very inspiring and motivating.
