Going Forward

Going Forward is our tailored development programme to help talented individuals from refugee backgrounds succeed in their legal journey. You’ll take part in our bespoke virtual commercial awareness series, access one-to-one coaching and build a relationship with your dedicated buddy. This will put you in the best possible position to secure a Vacation Scheme with us.

The Programme

As a firm, we have spent over 6,000 hours supporting, promoting and protecting the rights of refugees across the globe. We are also committed to providing career development opportunities to individuals from asylum seeker and refugee backgrounds residing in the UK.

• Commercial Development Series: Across 11 virtual interactive sessions, you will deepen your understanding of the commercial considerations that are crucial to the role of a lawyer.

• 1:1 Coaching: Spend time with our dedicated coach who will provide you with practical advice, improve your confidence and support you with your career journey. You’ll also take part in a mock interview to help prepare you for your assessment centre.

• Buddy: Build your network at Linklaters through your buddy and gain firsthand insight into the work of a lawyer.
