I was born and grew up in Brussels. I studied law in Brussels and also spent time at the Sorbonne in Paris. After starting in Dispute Resolution at Linklaters, I took an LL.M at Harvard Law School in the US.

The people at Linklaters are dynamic and friendly. There’s an open-door policy so we know we can always discuss a case with a colleague when we need to. We also get together for lots of social events, like ‘Coffee Connect’, where we discuss our pro bono projects, ‘Cocktail Connect’, and more random outings, like when we signed up for an ‘Escape Room’ game!

Being a lawyer at Linklaters means working in a very close-knit team that’s dedicated to excellence. We’re proud to have a strong culture of teamworking, where specialists co-operate to provide the best work for clients – ideal conditions for young lawyers to progress. Moreover, because the Linklaters team is global, we often work with colleagues from around the world.

Thanks to my Partner’s trust, I’ve been fortunate enough to take part, very early in my career, in numerous client meetings. And it's an awesome feeling to be contributing to the development of the law. As a member of the litigation and arbitration team, I’m entirely dedicated to resolving disputes. I love the fact that my job has immediate, concrete implications. It’s great to contribute to a case all the way through, from the prevention of disputes to their resolution in court. And we often encounter unusual – even unprecedented – issues, which is very rewarding.

What have I learned? The more open-minded and curious we are, the more likely we are to find common interests with clients, and develop long-lasting professional relationships. Never be afraid of challenge. That’s the secret to learning quickly, and it's what makes life at Linklaters so rewarding.
