I always wanted to be a lawyer. It's a neat intersection of things I'm interested in, from intellectual problem solving to my love for words, language, argument and debate. I've found the law to be the perfect place to do it all. I feel very lucky to be a member of a profession where I can be consistently challenged and intellectually stimulated.

What opportunities have you had to collaborate with colleagues, whether that's in London or internationally?
I went to Hong Kong SAR on secondment for six months as a trainee, working with our Corporate team there. I got to know some brilliant people who I still see now. As a litigation lawyer, a number of the disputes that I've worked on have been based in other countries, including in the US, Bermuda and Belgium. It's always fun working with lawyers who are in different offices and may have a different cultural background, as that often leads to us all approaching problems from alternative perspectives. This creates a diverse range of voices where it is helpful to bounce ideas off one another and, ultimately, provide the best advice to clients.
