In Singapore, we are a fast-growing office and have a number of junior opportunities open. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do which puts us in a unique position to offer fantastic development for our junior lawyers.

Our Global Summer Student Programme offers you an international internship experience like no other. For two weeks, you will be based in our London office. There, you’ll meet fellow students from around the world. Crucially, you will also enjoy an unforgettable six-week legal internship at our busy Amsterdam office.

Paralegals

For fresh graduates looking to kick start their international career, we offer paralegal opportunities. We have opportunities for those that are already qualified and for those who are yet to qualify. We have paralegal roles across a number of different practice groups in Singapore including transactional and advisory groups.

We at Linklaters are looking for curious minded and passionate Paralegals to be a part of our team. Reporting to the Partners and working with the team, in this role, your prime scope of work would include providing dedicated matter support to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time and to the ultimate clients’ satisfaction.

 

Post-graduate opportunities

During this training programme, you’ll rotate around different practice groups. We offer junior lawyers a solid international platform with training and experience from across the globe. This could also include international secondments.

A changing world calls for an agile approach to training, and our training model is unique among Singapore law firms. Our training is also designed to help you get ahead quickly. All Trainees will receive guidance and supervision from a team of Principals from each practice group. On the way, you’ll learn about commercial awareness, global legal systems, research, drafting and our approach to diversity, and have plenty of opportunities to meet other trainees from our global network.

Summer Internship

Are you an undergraduate interested in a career in commercial law? Our summer internship programme will offer you a taste of life in commercial law at a global firm. They will put you in the best possible position to secure a Summer Vacation Scheme/Training Contract at Linklaters in the future. We'll also pay you SGD 400 per week while you're with us.

During your four-week internship, you'll be involved in real deals, sit with a Principal and learn all about working in a top tier commercial law firm.

Criteria:

We are open to receiving applications from undergraduates. Candidates must complete the short online form before the application deadline.

The internship dates for 2024 are:

3rd June – 28th June 2024

1st July – 26th July 2024

29th July – 23rd August 2024

Singapore-London Training Contract

Two years

This is a unique opportunity to train and qualify as a lawyer in England and Wales before starting a commercial law career in Singapore.
   
You'll start working on live client cases during four six-month seats. These take place in London as well as Singapore. You'll build skills and experience in practice areas and, with ongoing training and support, develop the professional skills you need. Once qualified, you'll then start your career as an Associate in Singapore.

We're looking for students currently on an undergraduate Law degree, Master of Law (LLM) or Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) programme at a UK university. To meet our needs, you'll need to demonstrate a global outlook, drive and ambition, backed up by abilities like intelligence and commercial awareness.
